10.West Side Story
Two rival NYC gangs make it complicated for Tony (Richard Beymer) and Maria (Natalie Wood) to be together when they fall in love. The film is directed by Jerome Robbins and Robert Wise. West Side Story had all elements of a good film. Robbins and Wise gave viewers a relatable story performed by a glorious cast with singing and dance numbers. The film took home the Oscar in 1961.
