The biggest pop star in the world today will be roasted by today’s biggest comedian (success-wise, not height-wise). Comedy Central announced today that Kevin Hart will be the roast master for its Justin Bieber roast in March.
The roast, which was announced in January, will be taped on March 14, two weeks after Bieber’s 21st birthday on March 1. It will air on Monday, March 30 at 10 p.m.
“I don’t normally do roasts but I had to step out for my guy Biebs…It’s his big 21. It’s about to be operation roast everyone’s ass,” Hart said in a statement.
Kent Alterman, President, Content Development and Original Programming, Comedy Central, added, “They say only a good friend would verbally eviscerate another good friend for all his vulnerabilities. Kevin Hart is a very good friend.”
Bieber actually asked to the subject of Comedy Central’s first roast since James Franco’s in September 2013.
Hart and Bieber traded jabs on Twitter this morning, so they are both clearly excited.

Hart currently stars in Sony’s The Wedding Ringer and will next be seen in Get Hard, which comes out three days before the roast airs.
