After everyone on the Internet spent 24 hours grieving the end of Jon Stewart’s run on The Daily Show, Stewart was back on air last night and he only had one question for everyone. “Did I die?”
Stewart opened the show with that question, noting how the entire country responded to the comedian’s decision to leave the show some time this year. Apparently, everyone forgot to pay attention to the fact that he’s still hosting and that it’s only February.
“Did I die?” Stewart asked. “Because it all seems very ‘I died.’ It was very weird.”
Stewart said that he still doesn’t have any idea what he plans to do. But he’s only 52, so he has a long life ahead of him.
He then joked about how he’s already received a job offer. Even though he constantly makes fun of them, Arby’s decided to offer him a job on Twitter.

“Actually... you know what, that might be fun,” Stewart said. “I guess my only question would be as a future employee, would I have to handle, serve, touch, eat or even look at what you so generously describe as food? That’s right Arby’s... this motherf***ing thing ain’t over.”
Stewart announced during Tuesday night’s show that he plans on leaving the Daily Show after hosting for nearly 17 years. He’s been behind the desk since 1999.
