Funeral services for the man Suge Knight hit with his car and killed are underway on Saturday at First AME Church in Los Angeles.
Terry Carter, 55, was one of the two men Knight struck with a truck on Jan. 29 outside of a burger restaurant in Compton, Calif.
The AP reports the funeral will begin around noon today.
Knight fled the scene after the incident but did turn himself in the next day. He hit the men near the set of the N.W.A. biopic Straight Outta Compton, which is reportedly the source of contention.
After Knight plead not guilty on the murder charge, he was hospitalized after reportedly suffering a panic attack in the courtroom.
Knight also struck Cle Sloan, 51, with his truck that night. Sloan suffers from injuries from the incident.
Prosecutors say Knight struck the men on purpose while Knight’s lawyer claims he was attacked and did it in retaliation to defend himself.
