1. True love’s kiss
There’s nothing like your first! Although this scene does not have much visual context or dialogue, within the story line it is significant. Regina has been convinced for a long time that she cannot have a happy ending, after all, she is a villain. She gave up the thing (person) she loved most just to cast her dark curse to begin with, in many ways lost Henry to Emma, and lost Graham too. She seems to be past the point of taking chances, but a loving pep talk from her step-daughter, Snow White, gave her the impetus needed to go after Robin. This may not be the most poignant point in their relationship, but it is the best kiss scene I’ve ever seen. Pay attention to his expression after she plants one on him. He looks as if he is suddenly ravenous though seconds earlier he didn’t even know he was starving!
So, will Regina end up with her happy ending? Can villains ever find happiness? Is she still a villain? What will happen with Marian and Roland? Have the Hoods left the show for good? We’ll have to watch season 4B, starting March 1, to find out!
