Birdman is a 2014 black comedy film about a faded actor who once played an iconic superhero and now must overcome his ego and family trouble as he joins a Broadway play in a bid to reclaim his past fame.
The film received critical acclaim, and was named one of the best films of 2014. Norton’s role in particular has earned him Best Supporting Actor nominations for the Golden Globes and Screen Actors Guild Awards. There is also plenty of Oscar buzz for his performance.
