2. Big Eyes – playing Walter Keane
Based on the real life of the Keanes, artist Margaret (played by Amy Adams) watches miserably as her husband makes a huge profit passing off her work as his own. Waltz starts charmingly which makes his transformation into a lying, violent crook all the more striking. His nomination for a 2015 Golden Globe is well deserved.
