7. Notorious, 1946
By 1946, Alfred Hitchcock had certainly cemented his status as one of cinema’s greats, but Notorious was the first time Hitchcock decided to use all of his talents in one film. There’s romance, suspense, thrills and mystery all wrapped up into one. The kiss scene between Grant and Ingrid Bergman is a real stroke of genius.
