'Survivor 30' boasts cast of competitors from very different backgrounds

The 18 castaways competing in the 30th season of CBS’ Survivor are all of different backgrounds, which certainly isn’t new for the 15-year-old reality show. However, the producers grouped those with similar personalities in the same tribes to see how they would do in the competitions.

Jeff Probst is once again returning to host the show and executive produces with Mark Burnett.

Survivor: Worlds Apart kicks off on Wednesday, Feb. 25 with a 90-minute premiere episode. After that, the new season of The Amazing Race kicks off.

Each tribe is built around the personality of the competitors within them. The White Collars tribe is a group of people known to make the rules, while the Blue Collars tribe follows the rules. A third tribe is called the No Collars and they don’t like to follow any rules.

Here’s the competitors:

White Collar (Masaya Tribe)

So Kim (retail buyer)
Carolyn Rivera (corporate executive)
Max Dawson (media consultant)
Shirin Oskooi (Yahoo executive)

Sierra Dawn Thomas (barrel racer)
