Neil Patrick Harris' NBC variety show gets Super Bowl plug (Video)

The next time we see Neil Patrick Harris will be on ABC, but the former How I Met Your Mother star will have a longer-lasting job at NBC. He’s going to star in a variety show for the peacock, which will plug the show during the Super Bowl.

The show doesn’t have a title yet, so the spot, which was posted at Deadline, just promises that Harris is coming to the network in 2015. In the spot, Harris begins performing a musical number, only to be told that the spot is over.

Harris’ 10-episode variety series was announced in October and is based on a U.K. series called Saturday Night Takeaway. The format will include musical numbers, comedy sketches and celebrity appearances.

Harris is also hosting the Oscars on ABC on Feb. 22. He recently starred in David Fincher’s Gone Girl.

NBC is also using Sunday’s Super Bowl to promote others shows and will air a new episode of The Blacklist after the game. Promos for Chicago Fire, Chicago PD, The Blacklist and The Voice will run during the game.
