Lindsay Lohan’s name was synonymous with jail for years before she cleaned up her act with help from Oprah Winfrey. But trouble might be rearing its ugly head again for the actress.
Lohan will appear before a judge next week to discuss the progress of her community service hours, which she has reportedly failed to complete for the second time.
According to TMZ, Lohan was to show proof of completion of the 240 court-ordered hours of community service in connection to her 2012 reckless driving case back in November, but she had barely completed half at that time. The judge set a second date for Wednesday, but they’re still reportedly not done.
Lohan has been doing her community service in London, where she lives now. Her excuse for not completing the hours is that the place she volunteers was closed for two weeks over the holiday season and she is sick from a rare disease called Chikungunya that she contracted in Bora Bora.
Jail time is possible if a judge doesn’t buy her excuse. After all, she did contract the disease on vacation when she could’ve been putting in more hours volunteering. On the other hand, she has been staying out of trouble in recent years.
