Two Kentucky teens being dubbed a modern day Bonnie and Clyde are suspected of committing multiple crimes in the Southeast and have been on the run for almost two weeks.

NBC News reported that the teens identified as Dalton Hayes, 18, and his girlfriend, Cheyenne Phillips, 13, have been missing since early January. Authorities suspect that the two have been on a crime spree and stole two cars in South Carolina and Georgia.

"It is imperative that these two be located and apprehended as their behavior is becoming increasingly brazen and dangerous," the Grayson County Sheriff's Office said in a statement.

Law enforcement officials said the pair stole a pickup truck in their home state, then fled to South Carolina, where surveillance video at a Wal-Mart captured them in the vehicle. They allegedly ditched that truck in Georgia and stole another truck owned by a firefighter which had firearms in it. They also are thought to have passed a bad check at the Wal-Mart store.

WHAS11.com noted that Hayes’ mother said she is worried about her son and his safety since he has not contacted her. Tammy Hayes added that she did not know her son’s girlfriend of three months was only 13. She thought that the girl was 19.

Police are asking anyone with information on the duo's whereabouts to contact authorities immediately.
