The idea for Comedy Central to roast Justin Bieber was apparently the pop superstar’s himself. He decided that he needed something extra special for his 21st birthday, so being made fun of by comedians was the best he could come up with.
According to a TMZ report, the Biebs sees this as a chance to come face to face with all the stupid things he has done in the past and is considering it a form of therapy.
TMZ spoke with others who told them that Bieber has been well-behaved around Los Angeles in recent days and even paid for someone’s meal at a restaurant. Another lcose source to Bieber said that the “Baby” singer has made major changes in his behavior.
News of the roast was announced by Comedy Central on Tuesday.
While Comedy Central hasn’t set an exact date for the roast, Bieber’s birthday is on March 1, so it should happen around then.
Past Comedy Central roast victims have included Charlie Sheen, James Franco, Donald Trump and Larry The Cable Guy. Bieber’s will be the first since Franco’s roast in September 2013.
Finally after all that hard work for my 21st bday it's happening. Thanks @RyanSeacrest & @ComedyCentral for the announcement. Let's do it 🙂
