Jon Hamm, Kristen Wiig to appear in Netflix's 'Wet Hot American Summer' series

After pulling off some kind of a miracle to get most of the original Wet Hot American Summer cast to return for the series, Netflix has attracted even more talent for the follow-up to the 2001 cult movie.

On Wednesday, Deadline reported that Kristen Wiig, Chris Pine, Jason Schwartzman and Jon Hamm have all taken roles that will run from just guest spots to recurring parts.

The site reports that Hamm will play a spy, while Wiig will be a counselor at a rival camp. Schwartzman will lead the boy’s camp. Pine’s role is unknown.

As previously reported, Netflix posted a teaser to assure fans that most members of the film’s original cast - including Bradley Cooper, Amy Poehler, Paul Rudd, Christopher Meloni, Michael Ian Black and Elizabeth Banks - will all be back for the series.

Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp will run eight episodes and is written by the same team behind the movie, David Wain and Michael Showalter. It will debut this summer.

Hamm will have some free time to do the series since Mad Men’s last season airs this year. Pine was just in the Sundance film Z For Zachariah and Wiig will star in Ghostbusters. Schwartzman was recently seen in The Grand Budapest Hotel.
