Chris Brown’s career will have to be put on hold after the singer’s probation was revoked earlier this month. He was set to go on his Between the Sheets tour, but he has been forced to delay it until he finishes his community service.
The “Loyal” singer apologized to fans in an Instagram post, explaining that a judge had denied his request to travel. He must finish 100 hours of community service before he can go back on tour. Brown insisted that he will be “busting my ass” until he meets his requirements.
“I promise that I am busting my ass doing it everyday until it's complete. This is the most disappointing news I've gotten in a while. Everything happens for a reason so I wanted to personally inform my fans. The show must go on,” Brown wrote. “Out of 1000 hours I only have 100 left. I will work my ass off to complete it and I will be on that stage.”
He concluded his statement by apologizing again, adding that the tour is not cancelled, just postponed.
As previously reported, a judge revoked his probation during a hearing on Jan. 15, citing shootings that Brown has been witness to. Just days before, five people were shot at a San Jose nightclub during a party Brown attended.
Brown has been on probation since 2009 after he was convicted of domestic violence against Rihanna.
