A father in California has been arrested after he threw his 18-year-old daughter a Playboy-themed birthday party complete with lingerie and alcohol.
Around 200 guests attended the party in Poway, California, most under the age of 18. It appears that Jeffrey Lake, 48, threw the party for his daughter Olivia ‘Liv’ Lake.
People reports Lake was arrested on Friday for violating Poway’s "social host" ordinance. The ordinance bans adults from hosting parties where minors are attending with the intention of alcohol consumption.
Poway’s 10 News reports when cops arrived at the party after receiving noise complaints, a 17-year-old and a 19-year-old were found passed out. Lake was in the house while the party was going on with other adults.
Many risqué photos were circling social media sites like Instagram, showing the minors dressed in lingerie and some with Playboy’s bunny ears.
Poway mayor Steve Vats told 10 News, “You have a party like this and it's as though you're handing out hand grenades as party favors. It's a disaster waiting to happen."
Lake is an attorney, whose specialization includes medical marijuana cases. He’s married to former Poway High School PTA President, Jacki Lake, but it isn’t clear if she was at the house at the time of the party.
