A pregnant mother is crediting her 4-year-old with saving her life after she suffered from a seizure on Wednesday at her home in Michigan.
Centerria Manning, who was 9 months pregnant at the time, said her daughter Calise called 911 when she saw her mother was going into an epileptic seizure.
Manning told Michigan’s WWMT, "I got up and that's all I can remember. I woke up and my daughter Calise, was standing over me and she was on the phone with 9-1-
1."
The phone call Calise had with the dispatcher has been made public, showing her give their address so that her mother could be treated as soon as possible.
"I was so proud of her, because we practice and I teach her because I am epileptic,” said Manning. “I teach her the address and my full name and things like that, and how to dial 9-1-1.”
Calise rode in the ambulance with her mom and when they got to the hospital, she became a big sister to a baby boy T.J. Manning on Friday morning.
"It was really good to ride in the ambulance with mom, and she was really proud of me," said Calise.
The AP reports Manning said she had been preparing Calise for what might happen if she had a seizure since she was 2.
