Before he gears up for all the serious awards season events, Steve Carell just had to have some fun and that showed in his appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last night.

Fallon brought out his Barbershop Quartet team The Ragtime Gals for a performance of Marvin Gaye’s “Sexual Healing,” which is about the last song you would expect a quartet to sing. Just after they started, Carell popped into frame and stole the show. Fallon sang the second verse, but Carell was hilarious during the first one.

Fallon and the Ragtime Gals have performed with other celebrities in the past. Back in March 2013, they performed “SexyBack” with Justin Timberlake. In May, they performed “Talk Dirty” with Kevin Spacey. Needless to say, that last one was weird.

Earlier today, Carell was nominated for a Golden Globe for his performance in Foxcatcher. He was also nominated for a Screen Actors Guild Award. The film has been in limited release for the past month and continues to roll out to more cities.
