Vin Diesel hints at role in Marvel's 'Inhumans'

Vin Diesel has already played Groot in Guardians of the Galaxy, but that may not be the only character the actor will portray in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Diesel posted this picture on his Facebook yesterday in which he is wearing a shirt with the Inhumans logo.

By itself that doesn't totally confirm the actor's involvement, but as pointed out by Slashfilm, Diesel has hinted at upcoming projects on Facebook before. He previously hinted at his involvement in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and, even when it was revealed that he would play Groot, the actor promised something else was in the works too, according to Slashfilm.

As we previously reported, Diesel posted another message on his Facebook in August referencing the Inhumans, and that was before the movie was even announced by Marvel. It's not clear if the actor is just campaigning for a role in the movie or if he's actually in talks, but Diesel is clearly hinting at some involvement with the movie here.

If Diesel was to be involved, the rumor is he would play Black Bolt, the leader of the Inhumans according to Io9. This would be fitting, as Black Bolt is a character who never speaks, so there would be no confusion with having a character in the universe who sounds just like Groot. With Groot, Diesel used only his voice and with Black Bolt, he would use only his physical presence.

Inhumans is a part of Marvel's ambitious Phase 3 of their cinematic universe, which the studio unveiled earlier this year, as we previously reported. Inhumans is set to release in November 2018. The film will follow a group of superhumans and is somewhat similar to X-Men, also a Marvel property but which Sony Pictures still holds the rights to.
