4. Goodbye
How do you tell someone you love “goodbye,” when it may be for good. It seemed as though Hook and Emma had just started to accept being in a relationship together when the next crisis erupted. In episode 9 of season 4, “Smash the Mirror, Part 2,” they must be separated to avoid possibly killing each other once the spell of “shattered sight” takes hold. It is a grim situation, but one that Emma has some hope of overcoming. Hook is less than his optimistic self though, as he is involved in one of Rumpelstiltskin’s plots and figures he’s dead either way. It is a somber parting.
