Several news outlets have mixed up Sony Pictures’ Amy Pascal with another Amy, a marketing executive, and she’s likely one of the last people anyone would want to get mistaken for in recent weeks.
The wrong Amy took a photo on the red carpet at an AdWeek event several months back and outlets like Time and USA Today have run her photo in conjunction with stories on Pascal.
Pascal is Sony’s co-chair, who’s name has been tarnished for an email exchange with producer Scott Rudin about Angelina Jolie. It’s even been suggested she could be fired over it.
According to TMZ, the marketing exec Amy is not happy with this mix-up, not to mention she’s 15 years younger than Amy Pascal. That’s the least of her problems, though. She said she’s been getting harassing tweets from people thinking she’s Pascal.
It wasn’t entirely these media outlets who ran the photos’ fault, as Getty Images actually picked up the wrong Amy’s photo and falsely identified her as Amy Pascal.
