Mariah Carey gave another eyebrow-raising performance, this time at Beacon Theater in New York City at her a show called All I Want for Christmas Is You: A Night of Joy and Festivity on Monday night.
She took the stage to perform a medley of her most famous holiday songs, including “All I Want For Christmas,” but there were a few slip-ups that were caught on video.
According to Us Weekly, at one point she lost a shoe but she continued to sing and hold the shoe in one hand, with the other clutching her microphone.
She also dropped her microphone pack and an assistant came out to help her when she said "Really? I'm sorry -- cut!"
Before that, she started crying while singing “Hero.”
However, Carey shared a montage of highlights from the show on Twitter, including interviews with her fans. One of them even referred to her as “Mother Christmas.”
“Highlights from last night's opening show of "All I Want For Christmas Is You" at the Beacon Theater in New York!” she wrote. She also tweeted earlier, "Finally got into the holiday spirit tonight & it's only the beginning! Loved celebrating with you!"
Carey's performances this week will likely be under a microscope after the drama surrounding her Rockefeller Plaza Christmas tree lighting ceremony performance.
