Giada de Laurentiis has had six months to lament about the end of her marriage, so by the time she made the announcement this week, she was out having fun with a fellow Food Network star.
Days before announcing the split from Todd Thompson, who filed divorce papers in Los Angeles on Tuesday, de Laurentiis had dinner with Bobby Flay at Cecconi’s at Soho Beach House Miami on Saturday night.
However, it was just a cordial dinner between good friends. Flay is married to actress Stephanie March.
A source told Page Six, “It looked like a friendly dinner. Giada was super nice, but she definitely had a few drinks. She tripped over her feet on her way out of the restaurant, and Bobby let out a laugh.”
Flay’s rep said of their outing, “Two colleagues and old friends had a quick dinner.”
De Laurentiis and Flay had been at a work-related event earlier that evening.
