In what is being called a Christmas miracle, a firefighter dressed as Kris Kringle in Australia revived an unconscious man pulled from his burning home.

The Daily Telegraph reported that on Saturday Nick Carey and the fire crew from the NSW Fire & Rescue Telarah brigade responded to a house fire while doing an annual Christmas drive.

Carey was in a flammable Santa costume so he could not actually go into the home with the rest of the team.

“The BA (breathing apparatus) crew radioed that they’ve found someone inside so I went up to the front door to help carry him out,” he explained.

After helping get the unconscious 20-year-old, who was suffering from smoke inhalation, outside Santa, I mean Carey, administered CPR and the victim began breathing again.

Neighbor Michael Johnson witnessed the heroics and recorded what he saw.

“This young bloke is nearly dead and Santa Claus is bringing him back to life,” Johnson said. “It’s the ultimate Christmas present anyone could ever get.”

Fire officials said that the victim is lucky to be alive thanks to the crew and of course, Santa.
