“Baby’s In Black” is the third song in John’s mind-blowing opening trilogy on Beatles for Sale. I don’t think we appreciate “No Reply,” “I’m a Loser” and “Baby’s In Black” enough, since For Sale isn’t regarded as one of their best albums. But those three songs alone - especially the last one - prove that it is among their finest work.
