These look like bars, so you would expect a graham cracker crust. But, no, the bottom of this treat is a moist cake. First, layer apples over the cake. Then, add the cranberries (preferably fresh). Finally, top with the crumb mixture and sugar; and bake. This makes for a beautifully festive dessert with the perfect amount of sweet and sour.
