Top 10 More Great War Movies for Veterans Day

9. Paisan - Roberto Rossellini, 1946

Paisan (or Paisa in Italian) is a really unique film, directed by neorealist master Roberto Rossellini. The movie is a series of episodes highlighting the American invasion of Italy, from Sicily to Venice. The acting from the Americans isn’t that great, but the stories of how our soldiers relate to people we were once trained to fight is interesting. There’s one particularly poignant episode between a black American soldier and a young Italian boy.
