5. Media interference
The media interferes big time in this episode, as we see during a hostage crisis between the unsub and a victim in the parking lot at the mall. When the agents are trying to talk him down, as he is holding a nail gun to the victim’s neck, the media arrives and gets his attention. He then turns to them and proceeds to shoot her in the neck now that he has a live audience. This causes Morgan to have to shoot him.
