8. Red Dawn
The actor starred in the remake of the 1984 film Red Dawn. The war movie was directed by Dan Bradley and cast Hemsworth as Jed Eckert. He received the part of Thor just days after being hired for the remake, which went into production in 2009 but was not released until 2012. Remakes are often canned by critics as was Red Dawn. The film earned a Razzie Award nomination for Worst Prequel, Remake, Rip-off or Sequel.
