The first family of reality television, the Osbournes, are returning to the small screen for about eight new episodes. Sharon Osbourne revealed her husband, Ozzy Osbourne, wants a do-over now that he’s sober.
The show ran on MTV from 2002-2005, which arguably set the stage for other families with reality shows like the Kardashians.
Sharon made the announcement on the UK show Loose Women, revealing why they chose to film again after 13 years.
"Ozzy’s decided he wants to do another few episodes, about eight, of The Osbournes,” she explained, The Mirror reports. “He said for the three years we did he was drunk the whole time and he’d like to be sober."
She said it’s kind of like a “catch-up” mini-season, updating viewers on what their lives are like now. It seems the show will focus mostly on Ozzy and Sharone, as she said of her kids Kelly and Jack, "They’ll come in and out.”
The family has certainly changed a lot, from Kelly’s complete 180 in her professional and personal life to Jack’s multiple sclerosis diagnosis. Sharon can currently be seen on CBS’ The Talk. She also briefly served as a judge on The X Factor.
The family will start filming in January.
