Actress and singer Pia Zadora who suffered a serious head injury after being tossed from a golf cart earlier in the week, is said to be doing better, but remains in intensive care.
As previously reported, the Fiddler on the Roof actress suffered both a head injury and ankle fracture on Thursday when she was thrown from a golf cart her 17-year-old son was driving.
The doctors were at first worried she might have bruising on the brain, but luckily she appears fine, despite the actual injuries. She was in and out of consciousness when first brought in to the hospital.
Zadora's spokeswoman Eileen Koch spoke with The Associated Press, and said that she was currently still in the intensive care unit at the University Medical Center in Las Vegas, but is now resting comfortably.
Once Zadora has sufficiently recovered, the Broadway actress will be transferred to a Los Angeles hospital where she will undergo surgery to repair her ankle, which suffered a compound fracture.
