Jake Gyllenhaal latest project The Man Who Made It Snow has come under legal problems which has forced the film to stop production.
The script which is based on the novel with the same name, was adapted by Max Mermelstein. The movie which will star Gyllenhaal is set to be directed by Antoine Fuqua who is known for working on films such as Training Day and The Equalizer.

The Hollywood Reporter noted that a lawsuit had been filed by Randall Emmett and George Furla at Emmett/Furla Oasis Film. The $5 million lawsuit claims that Furla and Emmett had been in close contact trying to make this film.
The lawsuit details this complicated legal matter which claims that Taylor gave them the ability to produce and finance the movie based upon the condition that they send a pay-or-play offer to the Nightcrawler actor, Variety added.
It is explained in the complaint that Tabor didn't have to the rights to The Man Who Made It Snow and he interfered with negotiations to get Gyllenhaal to play the leading role. The lawsuit states that Gyllenhaal would be making $6 million dollars for his work on the film.
The movie is set to tell the story of Mermelstien, who became an inner part of one of the most famous Colombian drug cartels which helped to build the drug empire that was ruled by Pablo Escobar.
