The new Quentin Tarantino movie The Hateful Eight is getting ready to start shooting next month, and the movie may be adding yet another major star to its cast.
According to Deadline, Channing Tatum is circling a major role in the upcoming film.
There's no word yet on who Tatum might play in the film, but he'd be starring alongside a pretty impressive cast of Samuel L Jackson, Michael Madsen, Bruce Dern, Kurt Russell and Tim Roth. Jennifer Jason Leigh also recently joined in a key female role, according to Slashfilm.
The film will be set in Wyoming after the Civil War and follow a group of bounty hunters who try to find shelter during a blizzard. Production will begin next month in Colorado, according to Slashfilm, and it will be one of the largest productions ever in the state.
The movie will also shoot on 65mm film, and Tarantino is planning for it to be the widest 70mm film release in over 20 years.
Fans will recall that The Hateful Eight almost never happened at all. Earlier this year, the script for the film was leaked leading to Tarantino to cancel the project, as we previously reported. The plan was to turn the script into a live reading instead, but Tarantino ended up having a change of heart and decided to make the film anyway.
The production now has increased security measures to prevent any further leaks, though. According to The Hollywood Reporter, investors looking to read the script now must be invited to a Beverly Hills office where they'll be supervised by staffers.
The Hateful Eight is expected to open in theaters in December 2015.
