Shia LaBeouf, who possibly thought that Studio 54 was still the Studio 54 when he went to see Cabaret there in June, has struck a plea deal with prosecutors.
Back on June 26, LaBeouf was arrested for disrupting the show and getting into an altercation with security as he was being removed from the theater. He was reportedly smoking and yelling during the show. When he finally left the theater, he was taken into custody by police.
LaBeouf later sought treatment for alcoholism. According to CBS New York, LaBeouf agreed to continue the program for three months in exchange for pleading guilty to charges of criminal trespassing and disorderly conduct. Also, if he remains out of trouble for the next six months, the case will be dismissed.
Robert Gage, the 28-year-old actor’s attorney, said after the hearing that he was pleased with the result. “We appreciate the thoughtfulness of the resolution of the matter by the district attorney’s office,” he said.
LaBeouf had a rough day on June 26, reportedly also getting into an altercation with a homeless man before the show.
The former Transformers star has also tried to stay out of the limelight, although he does star in the World War II drama Fury with Brad Pitt. That movie comes out on Oct. 17.
