Saturday Night Live will kick off its 40th season in style, Star-Lord style. The iconic sketch comedy show has enlisted Chris Pratt to host the season premiere.
The Lorne Michaels-created show made the news official on Wednesday. Pratt, who also stars on NBC’s Parks and Recreation, will get a super star musical guest as well, with Ariana Grande set to perform.
SNL premieres on Sept. 27 and, by that time, Guardians of the Galaxy might still be in theaters. The film has been out since Aug. 1, but won the box office this weekend. It is the top-grossing film of 2014 with $586.2 million globally.
Pratt also stars in Universal’s Jurassic World, which opens next summer. He will play Andy again on Parks & Rec, which will be ending this season.
As for Grande, she has had incredible success this past summer with “Problem,” “Break Free” and “Bang Bang.”
SNL also announced that the Oct. 4 episode will feature Emmy winner Sarah Silverman and musical guest Maroon 5. The group is fronted by Voice coach Adam Levine and just released its fifth album, V.
