The thing that makes Little Miss Sunshine so great is that it’s an everyday movie about an everyday family who has to go through struggles to make ends meet. Sheryl Hoover is a mother of two who takes in her suicidal brother. Her husband is struggling with a business program that isn’t getting off the ground, her son is antisocial, her father-in-law is a drug addict and her daughter wants to win a beauty pageant. They’re a dysfunctional family who must work through a tragedy in order to realize how much they need each other.
