A Beautiful Mind is a film based on the life of John Nash, a Nobel Laureate in Economics. It was inspired by a bestselling, Pulitzer Prize-nominated book of the same name by Sylvia Nasar. It tells the story of a paranoid schizophrenic who excels in the mathematics department, but once he accepts secret work in cryptography, he must watch how his work brings about troubles onto his wife and friends.
