4. Get On Up
It has been over seven years since the death of iconic soul singer James Brown. Now for Summer 2014, Universal Pictures has decided to release Get On Up , a biopic film about the Godfather of Soul. Actor Chadwick Boseman will play the soul icon in the film focused on Brown’s humble beginnings and rise to fame. Boseman is best known for his role as Jackie Robinson in the 2013 biopic 42.
The film will be released Aug. 1 with an award-winning cast; Viola Davis plays Brown’s mother Susan Brown, Octavia Spencer as Aunt Honey and Dan Aykroyd as Ben Bart. With such an award winning cast and an untold story, this film will be a must-see once it hits theaters.
