Director Patrick Hughes rounds up this gang of ex-military misfits for The Expendables 3. The latest installment in the franchise brings back an all-star cast such as Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Terry Crews, Nicholas Cage, Jackie Chan, Wesley Snipes and a few more heavy-hitters from Hollywood.
In the film, the gang is reunited for a mission to save the President of the United States. While on their journey, Barney, Stallone’s character, comes across his former friend turned foe, Conrad Stonebanks (Mel Gibson); the encounter changes the entire dynamic of the mission. Gibson and Stallone’s characters were the co-founders of the original Expendables team until Gibson became a known arms dealer.
The Expendables 3 will be in theaters everywhere on Aug. 15. The vets are coming together using their old-school moves to take down a new-school antagonist. The anticipation for this film is likely to trump the buzz of its predecessors; fans have high expectations for action packed scenes with their favorite actors.
