5) Matt Leinart, USC
In the last decade of college football, perhaps no offense was as feared as USC was in 2004 and 2005. With Matt Leinart at the helm, the Trojans made it to two straight BCS Title Games, blowing out Oklahoma in 2004, and losing by a field goal to Texas in 2005. Leinart won the Heisman in 2004, and was a finalist in 2005, being beating out by his teammate Reggie Bush. The southpaw ran USC's pro style offense to perfection, and almost always made plays at key moments. Leinart finished his impressive career with a 37-2 record as a starter.
