George’s mother, Estelle, was played to perfection by Estelle Harris in 29 episodes. The classic overbearing mother, Estelle is no doubt the reason for a lot of George’s insecurities, and his trouble talking to women. She once famously walked in on George “treating his body like it was an amusement park”, which no doubt damaged their relationship even further. The fiery redhead enjoys playing Mahjong, and once dated bra salesmen when she was on a break with her husband, Frank.
