8. Gangs of New York, 2002

This is DiCaprio’s first film with Scorsese. The perfection of this movie comes from its attention to detail. The film does a very good job of showing the era of New York and all the different cultures that made up a very small area.
The best performance of this film came from Daniel Day-Lewis as ‘Bill the Butcher’. He gives a few memorable speeches, and overall is just a terrifying character.
