Real Madrid may be the best European team over the last 100 years, but over the past 10, they have always been second best in their own country. Even still, Real has won three La Liga titles and two Copa del Reys since 2005. Real is always one of the early favorites to win the Champions League, but it was not until this season that they were able to make it happen, as they scored three extra time goals to beat Atletico Madrid 4-1 in the final. Real Madrid is always immensely talented, as Ronaldo (Brazil), Ruud van Nistelrooy, Kaká, and Cristiano Ronaldo are all legendary figures who have played for Los Blancos. They may not have been as good as Barcelona over the last decade, but Real Madrid is always a powerhouse in European soccer.
