No team on this list had to suffer a greater loss than Milan did in the 2005 Champions League Final. After having a 3-0 halftime lead, Milan allowed Liverpool to tie the game and eventually beat them in a penalty shootout. Milan would get revenge however, defeating Liverpool two years later in the same game by a score of 2-1. To go along with two appearances in Europe’s biggest annual game, Milan won the Serie A in 2011. Andrea Pirlo and Kaka have been two of Milan’s biggest names of the last decade, but fans will forever remember Filippo Inzaghi and the two goals he scored (though Pirlo did most of the work on one of them) against Liverpool to win them the Champions League.
