Quentin Tarantino fans may soon be getting the cut of Kill Bill they've been waiting for.
According to Slashfilm, at Tarantino's Dynamite Entertainment Comic-Con panel he revealed that the full, four hour cut of Kill Bill, called Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair, will be released in limited theaters sometime in 2015.
Tarantino's hit 2003 film Kill Bill was originally intended to be released as one film, but when the running time broke four hours, The Weinstein Company and Tarantino decided to break it into two volumes. Kill Bill Vol. 1 was released in 2003, and Vol. 2 was released the following year.
Since then though, Tarantino fans have asked for the original, four hour cut of the film, so that they could watch it the way the director originally intended, without it having been split in the middle.
Tarantino also revealed that The Whole Bloody Affair will feature a new, 30 minute anime sequence cut from the original movie due to time constraints.
The director has been promising a release of the extended cut of Kill Bill since 2008. According to Indie Wire, the cut actually did premiere theatrically in 2011, but only for a one time screening at the New Beverly Theater. It is currently not available for purchase on DVD or blu-ray.
