9. Enemy
Director Denis Villeneuve made something of a splash last year with his movie Prisoners. While his next film, Enemy, reuniting him with co-star Jake Gyllenhaal, is perhaps not quite up to par with that movie, this strange little mystery-thriller has more than a few things going for it to keep you invested.
Even if it does answer all its own questions, or really give a satisfying ending, it does have an impressive demonstration of tension and build-up, with some great cinematography and color grading and a fantastic dual performance from Gyllenhaal. This head-scratcher is not going to please everyone, but those who like this thing should enjoy this wild little ride.
