10. Le Week-End
While, decidedly, one of the more quiet movies of the year, this little charmer coasts by thanks to some great chemistry and performances by Jim Broadbent and Lindsay Duncan, not to forget a scene-stealing Jeff Goldblum in one of his best performances in years. As always, Paris plays a beautiful backdrop, but it is the witty script by Hanif Kureishi that keeps everything afloat, even through some of its bumper sections.
This is likely to be one that will be forgotten in given time, but it is worth the watch, should it come across your way in the near future.
