2. The Grand Budapest Hotel
Wes Anderson does it again! Following up 2012’s Moonrise Kingdom, this movie doesn’t quite have the heart of his previous movie, but it makes it up through some great dry humor, beautifully conceived art direction and backdrops, witty writing and top-notch performances.
Particularly from Ralph Fiennes, giving his first full-out comedic performance and just knocking it out of the park. Anderson fans loved it for sure, but there is probably more here for general audiences than meets the eye.
