9. Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, 2009
Plot: Sam (LaBeouf) has symbols in his head that the Decepticons want. An ancient Decepticon called The Fallen wants to get revenge on the Earth by using a machine that will destroy the sun and all of the Earth in the process.
Cast: Shia LaBeouf, Megan Fox, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson and John Turturro as the human actors; Peter Cullen, Mark Ryan, Tony Todd and Hugo Weaving as the voices for the transformers
Why it was the worst: With so many transformers, the action is lost. Also, Optimus Prime isn’t in half the film because they kill him off. I mean, killing Optimus Prime? So original. The film was bad because it was made during the writers’ strikes so the movie didn’t have their regular writing staff. Also, it was the beginning of LaBeouf’s downfall and he had a car accident during the film, messing up the filming time. While the original wasn’t Oscar material, this was much, much worse.
