9. The man is to provide
A reoccurring trend in the lives of most princesses is that once they find their true love, the man is to take care of them. We see this in Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, The Little Mermaid, and many others. There is nothing wrong with a man providing, but this reoccurring theme depicts women as unable to be independent and care for themselves. It also puts an unrealistic desire in a young girl's head, since, with the economy nowadays, both spouses have to work and most men aren’t princes or rich!
